Well, the GPS said 1 hour 40 minutes which would have meant arrival at 11am. On the A31 in heavy rain, she changed her mind and added 2 hours!
We panicked! Then she asked if we wanted to save 97 minutes. If so, turn off now. We just made the turn. Looking down on the road we had been on, the traffic had come to a standstill!
We battled on through incredibly narrow sodden roads. Noel drove like an Italian, navigating water, roadblocks and large trucks and very pretty villages to reach our destination within a few minutes of the original estimate!
Mechanic Matt King waiting for us. He had the Gemini quickly unloaded and up on a hoist. Not long before the gearbox was removed. Capable hands! We were able to use his very fast WiFi which was great. He kept the trailer too.
Then a very quick trip down to Brighton, settled in to torrential rain. Waiting for the vote on EU.
