It was so stressful getting here. We wanted to see the city but getting there from our campsite seemed too hard. After much searching I found a well located hotel. We took a cab in and enjoyed the stimulus of a vibrant city for two days.
It rained hard almost the whole time but we didn't stop. City tour and harbour tour, lots of walking and people watching, good food and a bit of shopping for Noel. We could easily spend more time here. It has a very international flavour and most people speak English.
The Ironman was on today. The sun shined and the city took on a different look. Love all the water everywhere. Three million people and 47million trees. Lots of dogs.
Our hotel was stylish and minimalist. Wonderful breakfast and helpful friendly staff. Minutes walk from most things. Barcelo.
Back at camp this afternoon to clean up motorhome, some laundry. Noel removed the inboard rear drum brakes that are attached to the gear box for later fitting. Always something to do even when not racing.
