The ferry brought us back to Doussard along the other (cold) side of the lake. Many beautiful houses still closed up for the winter. Magnificent classic hotel and stunning chateau both with very little around them. Built as retreats or for those wanting privacy. This is the north facing side and I imagine it only gets the sun in summer.
We left Annecy in 29 degrees (not complaining!) but by the time we arrived back an hour later, temperatures had dropped and dark clouds were drawing in over the mountain peaks.
We invited our only camping neighboughs for drinks. A very nice couple from Devon. Shortly after the first glass of wine, we had a thunderstorm. But we soldiered on!
