We arrived in Ouistreham (Caen) early after a very frustrating and difficult one and a half hours stuck in Paris commuter traffic. The size of our rig made it a very tiring time. Even after 9am on the outskirts as the photos shows, the traffic (now on the other side of the road, thank goodness ) was still pouring into Paris. I thought Auckland was bad enough!
We parked up at a great little service stop for motorhomes in Ouistreham, had dinner, talked to others there and then left for the ferry. They boarded us with the trucks which was good as it meant we were early on and early off.
Good night's sleep in a real bed and great shower still doesn't account for the extra €290!
