Some of the other drivers had trouble yesterday too. Paul Halford had his gearbox changed overnight and Mike Sexton has a similar problem to Noel. He said, it is just racing these cars harder than they were originally made for. Noel said his differential was 50 years old. They can't last forever under the pressure of modern driving requirements. He had great help with his differential this morning from Ian, one of the Brits. Everyone has been very supportive.
Noel finished the extension to the trailer and then found the safety chain was too short so had to move it. He also has to make some adjustments to the motorhome towbar to allow for the extension on the trailer. Never ending!
Noel qualified 4th but as he is in a different category, he is a guest and not part of racing here officially. Just out there to have fun on a really great circuit. Let's hope that's how it goes. No more problems please!
