Finally here! Tried to arrive one day early at our camping ground, but they had no space so sent us 35 k further to country camp. Although very basic, they were friendly and helpful. We had a peaceful night's sleep.
By 10am this morning, we were back at our camping ground on the outskirts of Bordeaux and furnished with instructions for public transport into the city.
