After a night of huge trucks coming and going without much sleep for us, we decided to push on for our next destination: Bordeaux.
We were stunned by the €65 fee at one point on the highway! I buzzed for help and the kind lady reduced it to €33. I think because our motorhome is a Luton design: has a bed high over the cab, we are automatically measured and charged as a truck. Once she heard my voice, she reduced it for a motorhome. Even that was the most we have ever paid for a section of our journey!
We decided to take the country roads for a while. Much more interesting and enjoyable, but just takes too long. Because of towing, we use more fuel too. So we went back to the major roads.
