This is a bustling city of people from many backgrounds. Particularly young people.
Beautiful faded buildings, elegant shops and huge open spaces. Most magnificent is the column celebrating freedom.
Bordeaux is a river port that has a very wide fast flowing river. The city developed on one side of the river for many years until Napoleon needed to get his men across. The gracious bridge built at the time still stands.
There is so much history here, it deserves a longer visit, but for us Pau is waiting. We move on in the morning.
