A great Saturday night.

A big marquee, a great one man band with music we could sing along to, good country food, a few casual speeches with prizes for Crispian Besley and Doug Elcomb. Also a local painter who created a large painting before our eyes. The subject was Roger Herrick's Lola Mk2. Roger still in Auckland after problems with it at Taupo. The painting was put up for auction, and after spirited bidding, sold for $1,600 to Roger via Nigel Russell on the phone. A good result!
