FJ gathering in Zagare

It took us nearly 2 hours to drive north in the direction of Riga, just before

the Latvian border, to Sarah's home in Zagare. This is the power house for Formula Junior world wide. She is Duncan's daughter, married to a Lithuanian and has three small children. Very capable with boundless energy.

Those with motorhomes parked up in the grounds of the local manorhouse or palace. Most of the rest of us had rooms in the palace, which has been totally restored. We shared a bathroom and it was a bit like staying in an upmarket youth hostel.

Sarah turned on drinks at her place first. Local wine and beer made by her husband Saulius. Then we all moved to the town square where 3 of the FJ's were on display for the locals. By this time, it was freezing cold!
